I specialise in illustrating children's books and comics, and have also worked on board games, storyboards, concept design, posters, logos, branding, and more.

Children's Picture Books
Working in collaboration with you, I will transform your lovingly crafted manuscript into a beautifully illustrated children's book.
I can create artwork only, or take your manuscript and deliver a complete, print-ready book with full illustrations and formatted text.
A fully-illustrated 32-page picture book will cost around £2,400, but this price can vary depending on the complexity of the book.
This means I specifically tailor my pricing for each project and work closely with you to meet your budget
I will be there to advise and guide at every stage, giving you final say on everything - from initial roughs to finished print-ready book.

Design Process
Once we have discussed the project, a price has been approved, and the manuscript has been sent over, I will begin working on illustrating the book.

I will create initial concepts and character designs to establish the overall artistic style of the book.
Since every project is unique, I pride myself on adapting my art style to create something distinctive for each story I work on.
After the art style has been established and approved, I will move on to creating rough thumbnails for the entire book.
I design and present the pages together so you can see the book in its entirety, alongside the manuscript text.

Once given the go-ahead, I will begin rendering each page as follows...
At every one of these steps, you will be sent a proof to review. If you have any edits you would like to be made, then I will revise the design. After all the interior pages have been signed off, I will proceed to work on the cover.

Covers can vary from a single illustration or design solely for the front of the book, or be more elaborate, like the wrap-around cover pictured here.
I can also create and incorporate any text needed, while also including additional items such as publisher logos, bar codes, etc.
Once the cover is approved, I will get the files prepped and ready for print and supply everything after the final payment has been received.
This covers the pricing and main steps of a single book. This process can slightly vary depending on the project.
I offer a professional and collaborative process as I aim to capture the author's intention the illustrations I create.

Junior Fiction Books

I tend to quote these per project, as my price will be dictated by the number of illustrations. If you're working with a specific budget in mind, feel free to let me know and I will break down what I can offer based on that price.
Design Process

My design process for a Junior Fiction Book works similarly to how I tackle a Children's Picture Book.
I will start by looking through the manuscript and begin working on concept designs.

This will lead to me producing each design as a rough sketch, which will be inked once approved. The final part of the interior pages will include adding colour or black and white shades, depending on your preference.

Once all of the interior pages are complete, I will start work on the cover.
When this is finalised and approved, and you are happy with everything, I will prepare and send the high-resolution print files.

All commissions are illustrated digitally. A physical print can be arranged at an additional cost.
Throughout the design process, you will receive:

Final full colour illustration
(A high-resolution image file will be supplied on completion.)
After agreeing to the commission, a rough sketch of the design will be produced. Once approved, half the cost will need to be paid before work begins, and the remaining total is to be paid on completion before the high-quality illustration file is sent.
3 edits to the final design are included in the commission price. Additional changes or reworks of the final design will be charged extra.
Commissions are for personal use only and cannot be resold.
