The Adventures of Mila and Ranger
Synopsis: Mila was very excited for summer break, but summer wasn’t going according to plan. At the same time, Ranger was searching for a new home and a place to belong. When these two lives intertwine, both Mila and Ranger discover just how adventurous the summer could be and what it is like to find a new best friend and a home.

Project Details: A sample of illustrations I created for a junior fiction book. I had a lot of fun with this series, experimenting with black & white illustrations and the unique challenge of then translating this style to a full colour cover. I tried to convey specific moments from the book which capture the essence of the characters.

The Abyss
Project Details: These illustrations were developed for a short story. The aim was to create mysterious and eerie designs that would appeal to a younger demographic. Using grey tones allowed me to obscure some of the finer details within the illustrations, which meant that I could hide little design secrets for the more observant reader to find.
